Look Where We're Going!

It's time for a vacation. I stumbled across these cottages on the travelok.com website.

We're going for a couple of nights in May. Pray for rain, because the cabin comes with a canoe!

Me, the teacher

Tomorrow I begin my stint as the crochet teacher at OKC's best knitting/crochet yarn shop, Gourmet Yarn. I'll start with beginning crochet, teaching how to chain, single crochet and make a turning chain, then next month, I'll have a monthly project class as well. First project: Crocheted wallet. I'm not as happy with the version I developed with the Berocco Twist cotton blend yarn as with Sugar N Cream, but I'm still proud of my first design.

My only concern is that even though I'll only teach about 4 classes a month for a total of 10-ish hours, I hope I haven't overcommitted myself. I think it will be fun and a new way to meet more people.

Disclaimer

A friend of mine came into the bookstore the other day, and as usual, we got to talking politics and such. She said she heard some interviewee one of the national morning shows say that "Catholics believe the book The Da Vinci Code should come with disclaimer." At which point I walked over to the book, picked it up, and pointed out a not-so-little five letter word. To all of the people who've gotten their panties in a wad over whether Jesus married Mary Magdelene and had children, here it is: NOVEL.

If that's not a disclaimer, I don't know what is.
