Today's discovery...
This morning we were awakened quite early by very bright lightning and VERY loud thunder. It stormed and poured for 3 or 4 hours. I was at the computer around 8:30 a.m. when a clap of thunder hit so close and so loud that it
SET OFF THE CAR ALARM!
I suppose that I would've said "Sure, theoretically, thunder claps could trip a car alarm like fireworks might," but I've never heard of it actually happening.
But you heard it here from the horse's mouth.

That was one of the annoying things about the apartment complex we used to live in - a bunch of them would get set-off every time we had a storm!
