He's no longer a baby.

We had Spencer's one-year checkup yesterday. When the doctor says "You can turn his carseat to forward-facing, switch from formula to milk, and you might as well give up the bottle (if that's what you want)," babyhood is over. We ran out of formula last night, so no more bottles. It will be nice to just pick up a gallon of whole milk whenever we need milk for ourselves and only pay $4 (instead of $12 for a can of formula). But I will miss giving him those evening bottles on the couch before bed.

On an unrelated note, I had my first bloody nose last night. Let's just say Mommy and Daddy can get more rambunctious than Spencer when we're all playing. We called the nurse and she doesn't think it's broken, but I'll probably go to the Chesapeake clinic and have someone look at it just to be sure. I was certain I'd wake up all swollen and with at least one black eye, but so far, so good. It's a little tender but that's all.
