Handmade Gifts

I had to show off some of the handmade gifts we've been given.

This quilt was just given to us by one of my colleagues at the bookstore. She began making it the day we announced the actual date of our wedding.

As you can see, she spent quite a bit of time hand quilting the entire quilt!

The afghan below was made by the church secretary. I've done some crocheting, so I know how long it takes to make something of this size without any mistakes.

Wedding Registry Issues Part 2

There's a lot to be said for standing your ground. The owner of the gift store called me Friday morning and told me that she would take back the things I don't want and told me the total credit I had at her store. She recommended that I hold on to it until after the wedding and use it to fill in holes. I thought that was a good idea.
