Ice Storm 2007

We were lucky enough to keep our electricity (many other people in OKC lost theirs for more than a week) but our wonderful trees suffered much damage. We think the oak tree can be saved, but it will look very different. The pecan tree, which we always assumed would wreck the house in a bad ice storm, survived mostly intact. The Prius did not, however, as the kid down the street backed into it while it was parked on the street to protect it from falling limbs.

All of the bent branches you see on the oak tree below ended up snapping. The broken pecan branch was hanging directly over the sunroom, but a tree service was able to cut it down before it fell or caused any damage.

Hey, this is Graham's old HS friend Megan Keedy (Rivera now). I came across a business card with your blog on it; you gave it to me last year at christmas time. Thought I'd see how you two were doing.

Congrats on the coming little one! How exciting :)

Hope things are well and Erick and I wish you all the best.

Megan
